This second set from MGM includes five Woody
Allen films. Simply click on the box art below to get the
full review of each individual title.

All of the movies are in 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen and
they look pretty great. They have their fair share of
problems though. Grain are on all of them plus pieces of
dirt and some blemishes. Still, for the most part, they're
the best condition I've seen the movies in and are pretty
sharp.
All of the movies also feature English, French and
Spanish mono tracks, English closed captions and Fench and
Spanish subtitles. The mono tracks are suitable and fit each
film pretty well. We know how Allen likes his mono, and this
does not disappoint here. Sure it won't take full
capabilities of your sound system, but things are easily
heard and crisp. Dialogue is not distorted or muffled, and
it gives theses movies a nice feeling to it.
Each movie also includes a collectible booklet with a
good amount of info on the movie and their Theatrical
Trailer too.
This Woody Allen set from MGM does contain some good work
from Allen, though the majority is not his best. The
presentations are fine and the extras are minimum. If you
love his work and need to own them all then this set is for
you. However, if you plan to own one or two of these titles,
then don't get this set. When you think about it, this is a
pretty good deal. Each movie retails for around 20 bucks and
this set is about 100 dollars, but you can probably snag it
for around sixty. That's sort of like getting two movies
free. Well, it's up to you, but Allen fans will want this
for sure.
