The eighth and final season of "Wings" is presented in 1.33:1 full screen. Noise, shimmering and edge halos are a bit on the glaring side, and the overall image quality is on the soft side. Colors are decently saturated but are far from looking bold. However, I did not detect any smearing. Fleshtones look pretty good, while detail is nothing special. Watchable, and on par with previous seasons.

"Wings" is once again given the English Stereo track treatment for its episodes. The tracks are a bit plain, but still uncomplicated and reliable. All the dialogue is clear and easy to hear, while the musical cues sound decent as well. The sound effects really don't make much of an impression, even with the expectations of a stereo track's limits. The laugh track is there, but doesn't overwhelm. Fidelity is pretty high, too. "Wings" once again lands with stereo tracks that are suitable if unsurprising.

English Closed Captions through your television are also included.

Sad to say, there's nothing.

"Wings" was a pretty fun show that lasted much longer than many expected. But now it's time to say good-bye to the crew with this last season set. Those who have seen the show on DVD before should know what to expect: no extras, and slightly above-average episode presentations. Here's hoping there will be a boxed set in the near future - with some supplements on a bonus disc. But if you have the previous seven seasons already, you might as well finish it off with this.
