Both films are presented in 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen,
and I'm surprised how good both each look. Colors are well
saturated and each image is really sharp. Blemishes and dirt
are minimal, thankfully. Pretty top-notch if you ask me. Way
to go Paramount!
Each movie has been re-mixed into 5.1 and they sound
rather good. Dialogue in both films are clean and surrounds
really pick up with the concerts and loud noises. .1 LFE is
good on both films. Each movie also includes English and
French Dolby Surround tracks, plus English captions and
English closed captions.
Each movie has an audio commentary with their respective
directors and both of them provide very good sessions. New
cast and crew interviews are provided that are very good and
not promotional fluff so many of us are used to and offer
insight about the making of the films. Finally, both DVDs
have great interactive menus set up like a rolling TV
listings channel where you can even select short clips of
Paramount stuff. Only "Wayne's World" has a theatrical
trailer.
This is quite a good deal for 50 bucks, and since you can
pick it up for cheaper, it makes it an even better deal.
Great presentations and extras, if you're fans of the
movies, pick it up. Schwing!
