Presented in 1.33:1 full screen, as it did back in the day, this latest volume of "Perry Mason" on DVD looks pretty good. The black and white cinematography is surprisingly sharp and full-bodied. Noise and shimmering is apparent on the episodes, but isn't too bad. There is some grain to deal with too, and blemishes. But overall, this classic series has been taken care of well in the archives. Very pleasing to look at, nearly 5 decades later.

Once again, and as expected, the series gets English Mono tracks. Fidelity is pretty good on these episodes, and the tracks sound quite clean: no hisses, pops or any sort of distortion. The show's musical instrumental cues sound good, all the sound effects are audible and the heavy loads of dialogue sound incredibly crisp. Like the transfers, these are in good condition and impressive when considering their age. No complaints here, either.

English closed captions are available through your television.

Nothing.

No extras, but the episodes look and sound rather good considering their age. If you're a fan of Perry, then the set is probably worth looking into.
