This sixth season of "Mission: Impossible" is presented in 1.33:1 full screen. Episodes are a bit on the grainy side, plus there is noise and shimmering to be had. Dirt pieces, blemishes and other flaws also pop up regularly, the overall image quality is pretty soft. Color saturation is okay if a bit unrefined, while fleshtones and detail are merely decent. Watchable, if flawed.

Just like past seasons, the sixth season of "Mission: Impossible" has been remixed in Dolby Digital 5.1. While it's a nice idea, the 5.1 mixes still come off as pretty limited - they're just the mono tracks stretched out. Even the surrounds and sound effects really don't come off as artificial; but some small ones - like footsteps - do come off rather subtly. On the more positive side, dialogue is clear and easy to hear and the music (including that famous theme music) comes out pretty strongly through the channels. Fidelity is solid, too.

English closed captions are included, as well as subtitles in English, Spanish and Portuguese. Mono tracks are available in English and Spanish, plus English Closed Captions through your television.

Nothing.

If you have checked out previous seasons of "Mission: Impossible" on DVD then you know what you're getting here: decent 5.1 remixes, transfers that show the series' age and no supplements. 50 dollars retail is still a little steep for what's offered, but if you enjoy the show, then once again you'll probably be accepting the mission to add this sixth season to your DVD collection.
