The ninth season of "Married With Children" is presented in 1.33:1 full screen, and the episodes look good and surprisingly sharp. Detail is only okay, and there is some noise and some slight edge halos. But color saturation, while not overly vibrant, is solid and fleshtones are pretty decent. Pretty pleasing, overall.

All the episodes feature English Stereo tracks, which are also in good shape. Fidelity is high on the tracks, and dialogue is always clear and very easy to hear. The sound effects, though not always plentiful, do sound crisp. The laugh track also has a pretty strong presence, so crank up your sound system to really hear those hoots and hollers.

English closed captions via your television are available.

There are two "minisodes" for other Sony-owned TV series. But I don't consider these supplements - they're really just extended advertisements.

One of the most iconic (and lovably crass) sitcoms continues to keep them coming on DVD - though I'm not sure if this ninth season is really "complete," given that the original title music is still missing in action. While the latest "Married With Children" set has no supplements, the series looks and sounds good. Recommended for fans of the series.
