New Kubrick sets are hitting the States courtesy of Diamond Comic Distributors. It seems the building toy craze is catching on, as several United States toy distributors have plans to release or have already released their own Kubrick-style toys, such as Hasbro and Playmates. Still, you can't beat the real thing, especially as these little switch-em collectible toys keep offering new licensed propeties, and have grown among collectors.

One four new sets hitting is the next line of Neon Genesis Evangelion Kubricks. Neon Genesis Evangelion Kubrick Box Set J features Keel Lorenz, Seele 01 Monolith, Gendo Ikari, Yui Ikari,, and Adam, the first Angel, aka the Glowing Giant. This new set a color backdrop scenes as well as connecting display bases. Fans with a budget shouldn't worry either. There are four Kubrics in the set, but you can snag them for the price of three.

New to the Kubrick world is the first in the Trigun line, aptly titled Trigun Kubrick Box Set A. Here, you get Vash the Stampede with a gun, an optional transformer gun hand, and two faces, Wolfwood who has a cross weapon and Monev the Gale who comes with removable helmet. Each figure stands 2 12" tall and can be disassembled into component building block parts.

And last but not least, the next wave of customizing Kubrick sets: Kubrick Boys Customizing Set #2 and the Kubrick Girls Customizing Set #2. The new Girls set includes a generic female body plus nine hair styles, six head accessories, a snowboard, blouse, bag, parka, and muffler, so you can create your own Kubrick as you please. The new Boys set includes a generic male body plus three hair styles, six head accessories, a snowboard, a backpack, water bottle, a vest, and parka which you can customize as well.

Each set is by Medicom, and is imported from Japan. These new sets are scheduled to ship during August 2002, so be on the lookout. You can find these at your local comic shop. To locate, call 1-888 COMIC BOOK (1-888-266-4226) or check out Diamond's official site.
