All the episodes in this compilation are in 1.33:1 full screen. Since this collection goes across a few decades, some episodes are in black and white and others in color. For the most part though, you'll find commonalities in the flaws on each transfer: scratches, dirt pieces, blemishes, etc. Plus noise, and slight edge halos. Most of these transfers are on the soft side, but the more recent sitcoms have decent color saturation and decent detail too. If you're experienced any of these shows on DVD before, then you probably know what to expect.

The same goes for the audio: it's a mix. The mono tracks for the older shows are more limited, but there's a bit more liveliness in the episodes featuring stereo mixes. Yet, all share common ground in that the dialogue is always clear and easy to hear, and the other sound elements come through well - be it laugh tracks or theme songs. The tracks are also in good shape for all the episodes, as there is no distortion or flaws, such as hisses and cackles. These are all rounded, listenable tracks.

English closed captions are included via your TV for each episode, but there are no subtitles on the actual disc.

Nothing.

This is a grab bag of holiday episodes from beloved sitcoms in the Viacom library, spanning several decades. It's a fairly strong selection, as a sampling of "I Love Lucy," "The Honeymooners," "The Andy Griffith Show," "The Brady Bunch," "Taxi," "Family Ties," "Frasier" and "Wings" should put you in the mood for the holidays. Since some of these series are older and others more recent, the quality of their audio and visual is ultimately mixed. Nonetheless, the price is right for this compilation, making this an easy buy if you want some sitcom laughter for the merry season.
