For the most part, the episodes are in decent condition. Blemishes and dirt pieces visit often, plus noise is always apparent. Otherwise, color saturation is average and detail is okay. The episodes look slightly soft, too. Like all the other past Alvin releases, these are watchable but are nothing special.

The English Stereo tracks are pretty average, too. Sound effects and dialogue are clear and audible, and fidelity is decent. And while they don't have tremendous power, the songs do bring a little bit of lively energy to the procreedings. Nothing terrible about these tracks, but nothing outstanding either.

English closed captions are available through your TV set.

Nothing.

I guess Alvin and his brothers have had a bit of a comeback after their live action movie made an insane amount of money at the box office. With that said, I assume this - and the other Alvin cartoon DVD releases out there - are meant to cash in on that success. The release doesn't offer much presentation wise, but nostalgia - or turning others on to what you watched as a kid - can be priceless. Or at least worth the disc's retail price.
