Merry Christmas!
Hohoho! Merry Christmas everyone! I hope everyone is
having a nice Christmas and Hannukah (Hannukah Harry has
been very good to me), and I hope you're all getting plenty
of DVDs. Anyhow, news this week is also slow... so being
Monday, I'll just give my usual Box Office report.
Cast Away took the top spot with nearly forty
million dollars (I saw it, it was good but I felt it was a
tad bit overrated). This has been a very anticipated movie,
and moviegoers came out in full force. For a respectable and
great second, What Women Want took in 21.6 miiliion
raising its total to 70 million. The Family Man was
third with 15.1 million (saw this too... I downright hated
it) and Grinch held steady with 14.7 million. Miss
Congeniality opened with a strong 13.9 million while
The Emperor's New Groove took a little incrase with
9.6 million. Dracula 2000 made a respectable 8.6
while Vertical Limit took in 5.7 million and Dude,
Where's My Car? made 5.6 million, a big drop from last
week. Closing the top ten is my personal favorite film of
this year (and its starting to go wide) was Crouching
Tiger, Hidden Dragon with a nice 3.7 million. It should
increase more as the film expands.
Well, that's it. Happy Holidays everyone! Enjoy!
