"Ocean's" 1
Ocean's
Eleven, the
hot remake with a hot cast and a hot director (with hot
praises) took the number one spot over the weekend, becoming
the biggest opening for a December film and knocking off a
certain boy wizard off first place. Raking in 38.1 million,
Ocean's
Eleven is
yet another big opening and should be success for Warner
Bros.
In second was that
boy wizard, that being Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's
Stone,
dropping down a bit more with 14.7. Third, fourth and fifth?
Behind Enemy
Lines with
8 million, Monsters, INC. with 6.5 and
Spy
Game with
4.4.
Black Knight
raked in
3.1 million, while Shallow Hal took in 2.5. Out Cold is still bombing with 1.3, while the
foreign hit Amelie took in a million, and
Domestic
Disturbance with $922,279 in tenth.
That's it this weekend, as the holiday movie season
starts to heat up... I hope everyone out there is having a
nice and happy Hanukkah (I sure am) and I'll catch you all
next week.
