Thanksgiving "Potter"
Once again,
Harry Potter
and the Sorcerer's Stone took first place for the Thanksgiving
weekend, raking in a whopping and very strong 57.4 million,
pushing it's final total right near 200 million. While I
don't think it will break "Episode 1"'s record of 13 days to
pass 200 million, it should come close.
In a strong second
was Monsters, Inc. which is also nearing 200
million and made 24 million over the three day weekend
portion of the holiday. Spy Game and Black Knight each made pretty good debuts of 21.6
million and 11.1 million, respectively. Shallow Hal brought in 8.5 million more
as well.
The new comedy
Out
Cold made
4.5 million, while Domestic Disturbance took in 4 million more.
Rounding it all out were Heist, Life As A House and The One raking in 3.1, 2.1 and 2
million each.
