DVDLAUNCH... RE-LAUNCHED!
Hey everyone,
notice anything different? Of course you do. If there's one
criticism I kept getting on this site for over the past
year, just one, it seems everyone had something to say about
our old layout for the main page. I speak for a great
majority when I say it sucked. Yes I'm creative, but I never
had the patience to play around or really think of some sort
of design in a cool and complicated matter. While I designed
the original layout by myself, in a jiffy with hardly any
thought, I, like a good percentage of you, never really
liked it. It was plain, it was boring and there wasn't much
to look at.
I kept meaning to
create a new layout, and I suppose this is my first goal (or
one of them) that I completed when I looked
back on our
first year here. I really kept wanting to make one over the
past year, but I got so tied up with reviewing, my life and
other matters I didn't have time. Only recently, I finally
realized I probably wouldn't have the time to play around or
make something, and I wanted to get something up that was
more visually presentable and attractive. I decided that I
should stop waiting and waiting and actually go forth and do
something about it. With that said, I called my friend Chuck
in and gave all of us what you see right here now. However,
I added in some little graphical touches. He really was the
brains behind this though, and he did a spectacular job if
you ask me.
Overall, I really
dig this new layout and I hope you do to (especially in
comparison with the original). It's a lot better, it's a lot
cleaner and yes, it's still a work in progress. Keep
visiting like you always do... I hope to add in a few more
touches around here during the next couple of weeks. I'm
also playing around with the idea of creating new pages for
reviews and other stuff, so feel free to send by any
comments and suggestions on those matters and the new
layout.
With that said, I
hope you enjoy it and once again, this is only the first
step in my goals and what I hope to accomplish this year. So
please continue to join us as we continue to provide you
with the latest news and reviews, so let this be one your
many guides for the massive holiday season. Once again, a
very special thanks to Chuck (and for accomplishing the
design so quickly) and to you, the readers. I hope you enjoy
this change and our upcoming tweaks!
