Weekend Box Office, $5 Off "The Scorpion
King"
In a rather
disappointing weekend at the box office, last week's champ,
Barbershop, was number one again, raking in
another 13.3 million. In a decent second place finish was
the new independent comedy The Banger Sisters with 10.3 million, all
while My Big
Fat Greek Wedding dropped a spot instead of reaching
first place, bring in another solid 10 million, taking its
tally to nearly 125 million dollars. Wow.
Tying for fourth
were two new high profile releases: Ballistic: Ecks Vs. Sever
(what a
crappy title for a movie) and possible awards contender
The Four
Feathers,
each with 7.1 million. One Hour Photo brought in another 4.5
million, while Signs continues to drop down with 3.5
million.
Also making 3.5
million this weekend is the dud comedy Stealing
Harvard,
followed by Swimfan with 3.4 million and little
publicized Trapped with a plain pathetic 3.2
million.
Now then, are any
of you planning to pick up "The Scorpion King" on DVD next
week? Then you might find this
coupon from
our friends at Electric Artists some help. There, you can
print a very nifty five dollar off coupon for the DVD, valid
at any offline store you happen to go to pick it up. Please
note this page will only be up until October 5th, and that
the last day you can use the coupon is October 6th.
Definently a very nice deal, and a special thanks to
Electric Artists again. And look for the DVDlaunch take on
The Rock's big screen debut within the next few
days...
Enjoy!
