Getting back on track
The weekend box office was down a bit, and not too great,
but considering the media coverage and all, it's to be
expected. That and the fact September is usually a slow
month for movie. In any case, the mixed review
Hardball opened in first, with 9.4 million. The
panned LeeLee Sobieski thriller The Glass House
opened in second with 5.7 while last week's champ The
Musketeer made 5.5. Two Can Play That Games raked
in 4.6, while the sleeper hit The Others made around
the same.
Rush Hour 2 continued to hold on with four
million, while Jeepers Creepers made 3.8. American
Pie 2 baked 3.6, Rat Race 3.5 and Rock
Star 3.4.
Next week: Can "Glitter" be gold?
