Gold "Rush"
Yet another giant weekend at the box office, as Rush
Hour 2 broke more records. The fourth biggest opening of
all time, not to mention the biggest comedy opening of all
time with an astounding 67.4 million dollars. In second, was
Planet Of The Apes which took a big drop, but pulled
in 27.5 million. A big surprise for third was The
Princess Diaries with 22.8 million (a nice gross), and
fourth was Jurassic Park III with 12.3 million and in
fifth was America's Sweethearts with 8 million.
Sixth was the delayed Original Sin with 6.4
million, seventh was Legally Blonde with 5.9 million
while The Score brought in 4.9 million. Finally, two
family animal comedies rounded out the top ten: Dr.
Dolittle 2 with 2.3 million and Cats & Dogs
with 2.2 million.
