"Spider-Man" Still Swings

Another wow again. Spider-Man is once again the king of the box office with a whopping 71.4 million (!). This means that not only has it broken the record of passing 200 million the fastest, but for its second weekend it now sports the fourth best weekend of all time (right behind "Harry Potter," "The Lost World" and itself of course). Expect Spidey to go down as one of the top five highest grossing domestic films of all time and watch it continue to rake in the moolah...

In second place, was newcomer thinking drama (like some of Lyne's past work), Unfaithful with a nice 14 million. Another newcomer, the often delayed The New Guy actually had a solid start in third with 9 million. The Scorpion King's reign continued to fall, only making 4.9 this week while Changing Lanes took in 3.8 million more.

The Rookie hit another 2.6 million out of the park, while Murder By Numbers made another 2.4 million. Ice Age, Panic Room and Life Or Something Like It rounded out the top ten each grossing 1.576, 1.5 and 1.4 million respectively.

Next weekend... "Star Wars"... nothing but "Star Wars"...
