More "Panic"
Once again,
Panic
Room took
the top spot for the weekend with a healthy gross of 18.2
million. I finally checked it out, and it was great. One of
the best thrillers I've seen in years (can't wait for that
special edition DVD release!). In second was newcomer legal
thriller High Crimes with 14 million. In third was
Ice
Age with
13.5 million, The Rookie was fourth with 11.7 and then
Blade
II with 7.4
million more.
Newcomer National Lampoon's Van
Wilder
performed decent with 7.3 million, while Clockstoppers timed in (HAHAHAHA I MADE A
FUNNY) with 7.2 million. E.T. The Extra
Terrestrial
only tacked on 3.5 million more to its re-release. The
delayed comedy (blame 9/11) Big Trouble tanked with 3.5 and A Beautiful
Mind took
in 2.5 more.
