"Kids" Number 1
It looks like Disney has a new franchise on their hands,
as their Dimension Films put out a number one hit. That, of
course, being "Spy Kids" from acclaimed director Robert
Rodriguez. The movie earned very impressive reviews, and was
number one with a whopping 26.5 million. Looks like this
will be a great Spring hit for Disney... I have a feeling
this movie will have good word of mouth.
In second was the new romantic comedy with Ashley Judd,
Someone Like You with 10 million, followed by last
weekend's number one film, Heartbreakers with 7.8.
The bashed Tomcats opened with 6.4 and The
Brothers went down to fifth with 5.6. In sixth was
Enemy At The Gates with 5.4 million, followed by
Exit Wounds with 5.2. Crouching Tiger, Hidden
Dragon was eight with 4.9, and for ninth and tenth came
Traffic with 3.8 and The Mexican with 2.5
million. Pretty good week at the box office...
