"Mexican" Gets A "Wound", Two Nominees Pass 100
In an interesting box office this weekend, Exit Wounds
opened in first with a very impressive 18.5 million
dollars. Steven Seagal making a come back of sorts? I doubt
it, but it is possible. This was his biggest opening. I'm
personally not surprised the movie opened big. Last year
around this time Warner also released another action film by
the same director, "Romeo Must Die" which did do very
well... and also had a hot soundtrack. So, a good opening.
Enemy At The Gates took second with 13.8, followed
by The Mexican with eight million. See Spot Run
made five, followed by 15 Minutes with a mere
4.3. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon passed the
magical 100 million dollar mark. Down To Earth made
four million, and Hannibal made 3.6. Ending the top
ten this week was a tie, with Chocolat and
Traffic, each with 3.4 million. "Traffic" also passed
100 million, so it's a pretty good week at the box office.
