Back to Mexico...
The Mexican was first for the second week with a
very good 12.2 million. The bashed 15 Minutes opened
in second with 10.5, while See Spot Run ran (punny)
into a cool 6.6. Hannibal was in fourth with 5.8, and
Down To Earth raked in 5.6. Crouching Tiger,
Hidden Dragon dropped a spot to sixth with 4.3, while
the new teen comedy Get Over It made a disappointing
4.1 million. The movie was cheap to produce, but this could
be a sign that the whole teen genre is winding down to an
end. Rounding out the top ten are Traffic,
Chocolat and Recess: School's Out, each with
3.9, 3.8 and 2.3, respectively.
