Queen Of The World, 700 Reviews
Life is good for
Queen Latifah. She has an Oscar® nomination and now
she's in two hit movies. Bringing Down The
House, the
racial comedy with Steve Martin (I enjoyed it!) took the top
spot at the box office with a very impressive 31.1 million
dollars. In the coming weeks, this should stand strongly. In
second was another new release, that being Tears Of The
Sun. The
Bruce Willis war drama fared well with 17.1 million.
Old School
continuted
to do well with 9.2 million, while Chicago is still hanging on strong with 6.8
million. Right behind it was the romantic comedy smash
How To Lose
A Guy In 10 Days with 6.7 million.
Cradle 2 The
Grave took
a major drop as it went down five places and took in only
6.5 million this weekend. Daredevil also continues to slide down, taking
in seventh place and 5.2 million. Disney's February hits and
Universal's February miss took the rest of the top ten as
The Jungle
Book 2,
Shanghai
Knights and
The Life Of
David Gale each made 4.3, 2.7 and 2.1 million
respectively.
With that out of
the way, DVDlaunch now supports 700 reviews. Woohoo! It took
us a little longer than usual to get here, but still, 700
reviews in our database is a bit impressive (or so I think -
that's a lot of DVD reviews!). Once again I'd like to thank
you all personally - the visitors. Without you, DVDlaunch
wouldn't be where it is today. So here's to another 700 more
(or 300 more).
See you all back
next week when we see if anything else can topple Queen
Latifah and I as give you my Oscar® picks...
