Weekend Box Office
A pretty decent
weekend at the box office, as the new Colin Farrel and Al
Pacino thriller The Recruit debuted at the top of the box office
with a healthy 16.3 million. Close behind with 16 million
was the teen horror sequel Final Destination, which stands a good chance
of topping the success of the first one, which was a sleeper
hit. Biker
Boyz,
another newcomer *COUGHfastandthefuriousripCOUGH*, took in a
decent 10.1 million. Kangaroo Jack and Chicago also brought in respectable
9 and 7 million totals for the weekend to add to their
rather strong tallys.
Last weekend's
winner, Darkness Falls, dropped to sixth but still
took in a nice 7 million. The Lord Of The Rings: The Two
Towers also
continues to fall bringing in 5 million while
Catch Me If
You Can
also caught around the same amount as Frodo and company.
Rounding it all out for the weekend is Just Married with 4.8 million and
About
Schmidt
with 4.5 million.
Stay tuned as
February sweeps in with some major new releases...
