Welcome to the new DVDlaunch!

Yes, despite some delays, it's finally here. Welcome to the improved DVDlaunch, that being version 2.0! While a little sample has been up since last September and worked on here and there throughout the rest of the year, all the redesigns of the pages, the new gaming section, new graphics, new review design and new whatever has actually all been done since the end of December. But it's all complete now... and with that said, DVDlaunch says hello to some new reviewers on the staff.

With that said, please give a warm welcome to Andres J., Marc K., Chad P. and Mark D. They're all nice guys and are great writers, and will make a grand addition to the DVDlaunch family. So look to your right and read their reviews... they're spanktastic! Or something.

That's it there... so browse around, check out the new designs if you haven't seen them already and enjoy! 2002 is looking great for DVDlaunch, so I all hope you continue to stop by and enjoy yourselves here... I personally think the new designs and stuff here are great, and give the site a more pleasing visual look. So I hope you all really enjoy the new things here and keep on having a good time at the site... we always look forward to your visit. DVDlaunch will keep on continuing, so keep on visiting... (hey, that rhymes!)

On to usual business now... the weekend box office was strong, once again. The Lord Of The Rings was champ again, with 16.2 million. In a close second was A Beautiful Mind with 15.2, while newcomer Orange County pulled in a strong 15 million... not bad for a film that cost only 16 million to make. In fourth was Ocean's Eleven with 7.7, followed by the grand The Royal Tenenbaums with 6.4.

Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius made 5.5 million while Vanilla Sky took on 5 million more. Rounding it out was Kate & Leopold with 4.6 and then a tie between Gosford Park and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone with 3.6 each. Looks like Harry is on his way out...
