Happy New Year!
Alright, alright, it's *officially* the new millennium.
So start your ranting now... 2001 looks like to be another
great year for DVD. DVD has finally gone incredibly
mainstream, so look out this very year.
The box office was quite good with Cast Away
leading the way with a whopping 40 million and crossed
100 million. What Women Want made 26.4 million and
also crossed 100 million. Miss Congeniality was in
third with 19.2, followed by The Family Man and
The Emperor's New Groove with 16.8 and 14.7,
respectively. The Grinch made 9 million, followed by
Vertical Limit with 8 million. Dracula 2000
made 7.3 million, followed by Dude, Where's My Car?
with 5.8 million and in last place, Billy Bob Thornton's
All The Pretty Horses with 4.9 million. Looks like a
bomb. And just below the top ten in eleventh place was
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon with 4.5 million. Look
for that one to crack the top ten in the next week or two...
again, great movie, everyone should check it out.
Happy New Year everyone! Have a good one!
